Have you completed my 8 Week Health and Fitness Accountability Group?
Looking for more motivation to keep you focused on the journey ahead?
Want to delve deeper into healthy habits that will benefit not only you, but your family as well?
Every month I offer a 30 day accountability group to returning customers (and new customers who feel they have a handle on the basics of clean eating are already following a fitness regime) who realize that a significant lifestyle change may not happen after 8 weeks — as I am fond of saying, this journey is a marathon, not a sprint. So if you need more structure and support from a coach and like learning new things about health and nutrition, than joining a 30 day group may be just what you need to keep to motivated and engaged.
Each month I will change the theme of the group or focus on a healthy perspective using a personal development or nutrition book. You are encouraged to pick up a copy of the book, but it is not a requirement.
This group will also have daily posts/assignments, nightly accountability, and prizes for motivation.

30 Day Health and Fitness Accountability Group
Starts April 18th, 2016
You’ve maybe heard of Paleo, Primal, and the Whole 30 and wondered what they were about. Many people turn to these “diets” when they have digestive issues or conditions. However, it can be a great way to enhance your lifestyle. I began researching Paleo back in 2007 as a way to improve my athletic performance. I had heard of many professional triathletes following this lifestyle and was curious if it could improve mine. Back there there were two books on the subject, both by professor Loren Cordain. There were no blogs or cook books and very little could be found on the internet.
The term Paleo is derived from the word “Paleolithic”, referring to the period of time before man discovered agriculture. Often called the “cave man diet”, the premise is built around the belief that humans ate what they could hunt and gather…and were much healthier for it.
Adopting this lifestyle (it is not a diet in the sense that it is calorically restrictive with the sole purpose of losing weight) has many advantages. You are eating fresh, unprocessed foods like fruits, vegetables, meat, nuts, and seeds. It is a common misconception that it is a meat-heavy diet. However, the key to success is balance and moderation and incorporating the principles to fit with your goals.
The books I suggest you read to help you on this journey are:
I’ve been eating an 80/20 Paleo lifestyle since 2008 and have completed 3 Whole 30 challenges. I have compiled by best practices, recipes, and tips to help you explore this way of eating and see if it is right for you.
